Nowhere Bar

One of my favorite bars in Athens is Nowhere Bar, located on Lumpkin Street across from the Georgia Theater. This bar is usually host to jam and rock bands, with an entire room filled with pool tables. It has the feel of a dive bar, and you can find all different types of people here.
Nowhere Bar keeps their Facebook updated with events and announcements about upcoming shows. Typically, shows range from free to a small ($3-$5) cover charge.

All the bands I have seen here are super engaging with the audience and are so fun. Last night, Monday Oct. 2nd, they had a Blues Jam, featuring some different musicians.

Their Instagram advertises that it will be the first Monday of every month. It is common to see that smaller venues offer drink specials to draw people in. For smaller, less well known bands, venues having things like drink specials or recurring themed nights helps attract new potential fans. There is no possible way to have heard of every band that will be playing at Nowhere Bar, but the atmosphere and people will guarantee a good time.
